St.Lucy's Best Wolf Girl
St.Lucy's Home For Girls Raised By Wolves, is a wonderful story. Well sort of...our "lovely" narrator is selfish and she fits every word that makes a person bad. Claudette, our narrator, was once living in the woods with her siblings only to betray them once she's "human enough" is a disappointing act in itself. And not only did she have the audacity to ask her older sister Jeanette for help when the only thing she thinks about is "I was only worried about my self" and later on using poor Mirabella as an excuse to get rid of her for "ruining" the party or whatever it was. Which is why Jeanette is the best wolf girl in St.Lucy's, not only is she is the golden child of her siblings, she was smart, caring, and currently being hated on by her own sisters.
While Jeanette is the best wolf girl in St.Lucy's, we had to defend her in our debate. Preparing for the debate was difficult in it's own ways, finding the correct evidence, try and think what other groups are going to say, even making up our starting and concluding sentences, and not to mention everyone worked well with each other. I was nervous of course, being chosen to say the starting sentence, scared to see if the other groups would use my own words and use it against me and my group. But luckily that fear soon went away, and later was chosen to go participate in the debate circle.
The actual debate was just as difficult as preparing for it. Although our group didn't participate as much as team Mirabella, they were busy attacking poor team Claudette. Since Jeanette wasn't the center of attention, it would be difficult to include her in the attack of team Claudette. Well that wasn't the case until Team Mirabella brought us into the debate in the last few minutes. Luckily for us, we were able to "fight back" with not only evidence but questions too. After all that, the time finished and everyone had to give their concluding sentences.
The whole activity itself was fun, and although the story may have many annotations of almost every bad thing Claudette did the story was interesting. I have achieved things I never thought I would do for example participating in the debate, I found it fun and exciting I would like to do it again. Working with my group members was a good experience to, well maybe, but still good nonetheless it helped me from "coming out of my shell". While time was passing by while reading the story not only did my growing resentment towards Claudette grow and love for Jeanette grow, and despite the debate I still think Jeanette is the best wolf girl at St.Lucy's
